The obverse of the coin shows a bust of the Emperor, wearing a laurel wreath, turned to the right.

Reverse: P M S -C-OL VIM, in exergue: AN IIII
The personification of the Province of Moesia Superior holds two vexilla bearing the signs of the legions: "VII" (the Seventh Claudian Legion) and "IIII" (the Fourth Flavian Legion). It is flanked by an ox and a lion, the symbols of these legions.
