100-Dinar Note from 1946

This note belongs to the first post-war series issued by the National Bank of the newly-formed state (FNRJ/FPRY), which also included the 50-, 500- and 1000-dinar notes. The issuing date is May 1, 1946, the first post-war Labour Day. The practice of issuing new series dated May 1 was continued in the following decades. The obverse and the reverse show the fisherman, the blacksmith, and the reaper, as symbols of the fast pace at which the country was recovering after the war.
