When the new state, i.e., the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, was formed, several national currencies were in circulation, most of them had been issued in the areas formerly belonging to the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Therefore, steps were taken to carry out their unification. Firstly, the money of the former and occupying states was nostrified. The next step was to issue banknotes bearing the mark of value expressed both in dinars and crowns. They replaced only the previously nostrified money. Their gradual withdrawal was completed in 1934, the last withdrawn having been this one, of the highest valued.
