The Society for Arrangement and Embellishment of Bulbulder was founded in 1908 by Dragomir Djurić and Mihailo Karakašević, pensioners, and by Kosta Andjelković, tradesman. The Society's area of work extended from Grobljanska Street to the left and alongside the right bank of Slavujev Potok brook, encompassing the entire neighbourhood from King Alexander Street to Laudanov šanac trench and the cemetery. The Diploma is in the name of Dr Kosta Kumanudi, philanthropist and honorary member of the Society. Dr Kumanudi was a professor of Belgrade University, minister in several governments and the president of the Belgrade City Council.
