This plan and panoramic view is a successful combination by the engraver and publisher Mathias Seutter, who was active in Augsburg. The plan of Belgrade, with an accompanying text giving an account of the history, position and the siege of the town is in the upper, larger and coloured part. The lower, smaller part contains a picture of the town with several water mills in the river in front of the town. The work, which may have been either part of an atlas or an independent sheet, is of large size, highly finished technically and full of informative detail.
