The album belonged to the infantry lieutenant Peter Bajalović, who collected and bound invitation cards for balls, weddings, slavas and various celebrations. Invitations are important not only as interesting visual materials, but also as an illustration of Belgrade's bourgeois society, especially the officer class, and their private life in the capital of the Kingdom of Serbia.
